Chicago Steakhouse, Bar and Breakfast
Chicago is an amazing city with endless food options. My recent trip to the windy city was a solo adventure and the food did not disappoint!
If you are looking for a steakhouse, I recommend McCormick & Schmick's Seafood & Steaks, located on Wacker Drive in the Loop. It's a short walk from various hotels and brands itself as "culinary excellence".
Their Bone-In Black Angus Ribeye 20oz Steak with grilled asparagus and mash potatoes was amazing. The ribeye had an abundance of flavor. My drink was the Ancho Chile Maragarita made with Avión Reposado Tequila, Ancho Reyes Ancho Chile Liqueur, simple syrup, fresh lime and orange juice. This cocktail was very refreshing.
My go to appetizer is calamari and McCormick & Schmick's is served with roasted tomato sauce parmesan cheese. It was lightly breaded with a perfect crunch, very delicious.
For dessert, I selected the lobby bar at the LondonHouse Chicago, Curio Collection by Hilton. A seasonal pumpkin cheesecake with whipped butter cream. The entire dessert was edible including decorative fall leaf art.
Land & Lake Kitchen is also located inside the hotel, a traditional breakfast and lunch spot. My entrée was traditional pancakes and sausage links with a side of orange juice.
